Vietnam National University, Hanoi,, 2012 The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ESP coursebook for the students at Ha Tinh Medical College according to the learning-centred approach in terms of its Aims, Content and Methodology with the hope that practical suggestions would be given for further improvements of the material in the future. A survey questionnaire was used in this study to elicit the perspectives of both the English language teachers and the students about the extent to which the ESP coursebook meets the requirements of the course and the learners’ aim. Research results have revealed some strengths and weaknesses of the ESP coursebook which lead to the conclusion that the material has not fully responded to the course requirements and the students’ needs in term of the aim, the content and the methodology. Based on the findings, the study concludes with recommendations and suggestions for the improvements of the ESP coursebook at Ha Tinh Medical College.
