Vietnam National University, Hanoi, 2011 The effects that technology-assisted teaching may have on the comprehension of listening text by two groups 10th form students. Besides, the study also investigated the students’ opinions about the application of technology-assisted teaching on their listening lessons. To accomplish these aims, a quasi-experimental research study was conducted in four classes (160 students) at Ngoc Hoi high schools . Data were collected from pre and post- listening tests and questionnaires. A pre-post test design was used to investigate whether technology-assisted teaching could improve listening comprehension in English as a Foreign Languag (EFL).The results of the study revealed that technology-assisted teaching helped to enhance the students’ listening skill and their motivation towards learning listening. These results raise interesting issues related to the use of technology in the context of foreign language learning. Future research which includes other age groups and digital materials and which explores other linguistic areas could further substantiate the link between Information Technology (IT) rich environment and improved language learning Electronic Resources |
