This paper is specificially aimed at figuring out the mistakes which first year students at Hai Phong Private University often commit and their reasoning errors; thereby, proposing some ways to decrease students’ errors can be done. Readers will be provided with basic definitions of subjunctive mood, logical errors and solutions. Moreover, the main methodology exploited by the researcher is mainly qualitative with the collection and in-depth analysis of subjunctive writing tests of ninety students, questionnaires conducted among twenty participants. The results from this research showed that the students made two main errors (in the present form and in the past perfect form). At last, suggested recommendations are given is mentioned in the hope that teachers pay more attention to students’ subjunctive problems and improve their teaching method to enhance students’ knowledge Electronic Resources |
