Vietnam National University, Hanoi, 2012 This study is an attempt to design an ESP reading syllabus for the second-year students of Land Management and Use at Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry. This study was carried out basing on the students’ needs analysis and target situation needs analysis. In order to realize the mentioned aims, qualitative method was used with the participation of 80 second-year students of Land Management and Use from two classes, five ESP teachers and eight subject teachers. The major instruments used to collect data were the three survey questionnaires: questionnaire for students, questionnaire for ESP teachers and questionnaire for subject teachers. Having carefully considered the teaching and learning, the theoretical views of syllabus design and a thorough analysis of the collected data, the author suggested a syllabus for the second-year students of Land Management and Use at Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry. The expected ESP reading syllabus is hoped to benefit the students, teachers and those involved in the teaching and learning context at Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry by developing student’s reading skill as well as enriching their specific terms relating to the subject matters Electronic Resources |
