Vietnam National University, Hanoi, 2012 The purpose of the present study is to examine the effects of digital storytelling on students’ presentation skills. Since many students of English are weak in presenting, digital storytelling (DS) has been implemented in teaching and learning to improve their presentations. For the research, fourteen first year EFL students of Nghe An Teacher Training College are voluntary to participate in. Two mock presentations, students’ journals and a questionnaire have been used to collect data for the study. Findings show that there is a significant positive difference in the students’ presentation skills and attitudes towards presentation skills and English learning. They are more progressive in terms of manner and body language, especially their confidence. Nevertheless, some overuse on DS so it negatively affects to their presentation. They organize their ideas for presentation better with DS compared with presenting without DS. The students also state that DS is user-friendly and it motivates their learning, makes them more creative in presenting Electronic Resources |
