Vietnam National University, Hanoi, 2012 The research in this minor thesis is carried out to investigate the activities teachers use for teaching listening comprehension for 10th form students at Tran Hung Dao high school but mainly focuses on the teachers’ and students’ evaluation of these listening activities. To serve this aim, two questionnaires and interviews were designed for both teachers and students. To check the reliability of the data collected from the survey questionnaires and interviews the researcher carried out some class observations. Data collected from these three different sources revealed that almost students and teachers thought that the activities used by the teachers in listening lessons are good enough in tem of suitability and integration, however, there were still dissatisfactory with the listening activities that the teaches used in tem of authenticity. From this finding, the researcher gave some suggested activities, some ways to use and adapt the listening activities available in the textbook and introduced some authentic materials and situation that the teachers at THD high school can exploit to teach listening skill more effectively Electronic Resources |
